Reward offered for lost bible

Date:

A Williamsburg man is offering a reward for the return of a lost family heirloom – his bible.

“It has a leather cover on it with a marijuana leaf on one side and praying hands on the other side,” said B.J. Leach. “The cover is genuine leather. I made it myself. My daughter gave me the bible for my birthday and I would like to keep it.”

Leach last saw the bible three years ago on the dashboard of his Jeep after it caught fire near the foot of Gatliff Mountain.

The Jeep had to be towed and Leach said he hasn’t seen the bible since.

He is offering a $100 reward for the return of the bible.

Anyone with information about the missing bible can call Leach at 765-7495.
