Update: Man shot by police suffered from schizophrenia, according to call to 911

A man killed during an officer involved shooting early Monday morning in southern Whitley County had apparently suffered from mental illness, according to a call to the Whitley County E-911 Center that was obtained by the News Journal through an open records request.
