Hamp Crit “HC” Higginbotham, 67, of Three C Loop, Williamsburg departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

He was born on June 25, 1951 in Williamsburg, to the late Azrie and Verlie (Meadors) Higginbotham.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Patricia Louise (West) Higginbotham.

HC was a member of Jellico Creek Baptist Church and attended Faith Baptist Church in Corbin.
He is survived by his daughter, Amie Bowlin (Chris) of Williamsburg; son, Thomas Higginbotham (Danielle) of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Bailey Bowlin, Colt Bowlin, Sawyer Higginbotham and Eli Higginbotham; sister, Bettie Ruth Jones of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Raymond Higginbotham and Ralph Higginbotham (Betty) of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, April 30, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Bush, Rev. James Hodge and Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.

He will be laid to rest following a graveside service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, at the Jellico Creek Cemetery in Williamsburg.
