Billy Wayne Mabe, 78, of Woodbine, passed away on Friday May 10, 2019 at his home.

He was a retired coal truck operator and member of Eastside Tabernacle Church of God in Corbin.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Mabe and Dorothy Robinson Mabe; brothers, Roy and Luke Mabe; and by a sister, Irene Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Cecil Mae Mabe; children; Billy Ray Mabe, Lisa Porter, Douglas Mabe, Tressa (Kenny) Long, and Billy Christopher (Courtney) Mabe; grandchildren; Brandon (Reba), D.J., Luke, Cecilia, Lauren, Mercedes, and Robby; great grandchildren; Abby, Conner, Bailey, Brody, Chris, Kylie, Milli, Maddie, Tucker, Noah, and Eli; brother, Donnie (Diane) Mabe; sister, Ruby Mills; and by several nieces, nephews, family and friends inculding special loved one, Connie Mabe.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Mabe Cemetery in Woodbine.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where messages may be written to the family at vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com.
