Maudie E. Day, 91, of Morley, TN passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at her home.
She was born October 24, 1927 in Roses Creek, TN.
Maudie was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Lenora Smith Morris; grandchild, Eric Owens; great grandson, Mitchell Lee Day; brothers, John, Burt, Ed, Eardis and Thomas Morris, Jr.; sisters, Jane Glandon, Nora King, Nila Rookard, Leoda Lephew, Emily Morris; ex-husband, Harry Lee Day.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Day and wife Mildred of Morley; Sandy Day and wife Regina of Jacksboro; daughter, Lenora Morris Pruett and husband Donnie of Clinton, Tn; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; special nieces, Shirley Johnson and Bessie Jones; special twins she loved as her grandchildren, Genavee amd Lydia; special friend, Judy Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends & family to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Friday, May 24, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James “Jimbo” Bolton officiating.
Burial was held Saturday, May 25, in the Bolton-Campbell Cemetery (Little White Oak).
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
