Shirline Rountree Byrd, 74, of Brush Arbor Road, Williamsburg, KY, departed this life Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
She was born on April 7, 1945 in Whitley County, KY to the late Lonnie and Annie (Moses) Rountree.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claborne Byrd; sister, Dora Moses; brother, Arlie Rountree and her grandchildren, Ritchie, Browning, Angel Renne and Robert Dean Chaffin.
Shirline is survived by her daughter, Anna Renee Chaffin (Oscar) of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Jessica and Harvey Marcum of Williamsburg; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Journey and Skylight; three sisters, Dessie Moses and Rusha Caddell of Williamsburg and Joann Moses of Somerset; two brothers, Estil Rountree of Jupiter, FL and Glenn Rountree of Williamsburg; special nieces, Patsy Cook, Doretta Moses and Cynthia Cox; many other nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, July 24, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.
Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Davis Addition of Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg.
