Doreene “Dodie” Douglas Evans, age 63, of Lafollette, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the North Knoxville Medical Center.
She was born February 19, 1958 in Jellico, Tennessee.
Doreene is preceded in death by her father, Earl Douglas; mother, Helen Louise Fuson Douglas; and brothers, Colonel Lee Lindsay Douglas, Clarence Douglas, Fred Douglas, Cecil Joe Douglas and James William “Jimbo” Douglas.
She is survived by her son, Jody Durham and Elizabeth Lopez; step-son, Aaron Evans; daughters, Labreeska Martin and Madaya Evans; grandchildren, Caroline, David, Maya Durham, Ashley Santos, Cameron and Norris Day, and Genavee and Lydia Henderson; brother, Michael Albert Douglas; sisters, Geneva Ball, Lillian Marlow and Irene Chitwood; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, in the Woods Cemetery.
