Corbin City Commission splits 3-2 over new alcohol ordinance

Corbin elected officials, city employees and city officers can now legally engage, directly or indirectly, in the sale of beer or other alcoholic liquor in almost every way except they just can’t be involved in quota retail package stores, i.e., liquor stores.

This is the result of two new ordinances that the Corbin City Commission approved during a June 30 special meeting, but city commissioners weren’t unanimous in the decision.
