Corbin’s Christmas parade largest in years

Date:

The Corbin Christmas parade was one of the largest parades the town has ever seen.

Approximately 40 floats rolled down Main Street Saturday with Sadie Lee and Jase Ledford serving as the parade’s grand marshals.

Santa brought up the rear of the hour-long parade with a special guest on float, Newsy his elf.

“We are honored and humbled by all of the business, organization and agency participation in this year’s Christmas Parade. It was by far one of the biggest parades we’ve ever had, and the Corbin Tourism Commission feels like it was just the best parade ever,” said Corbin Tourism Director Maggy Monhollen.

The winners of the float contest were determined by Dora Mobley, Rod Taylor and Trent Knuckles. The winners will be announced at a later date.
