City hires company to fix bad areas in downtown sidewalks

Sidewalks on three of Corbin’s main downtown streets have over 100 “trip hazards,” and the city’s leaders voted Monday to do something about them.

During the regular monthly meeting of the city’s Board of Commissioners, city leaders voted unanimously to approved a $15,450 contract with Precision Concrete Cutting — a company that specializing in removing hazardous areas in city sidewalks by cutting them away with a specialized saw blade.
