Jessie Cox Smith

Jessie Cox Smith, age 74, of Hwy 904, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, June 6, 2022 at her home.
She was born on September 14, 1947 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late David “Cotton” Cox and the late Margaret (Paul) Cox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marie Smith; sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Baker, Ruth Speck, Marie Thomas; infant twin, Joyce Cox; and brothers, Ed Cox, Clifford Cox, Claude “BB” Cox, Joe Cox, and Hobert Cox.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, James Smith of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her four children, Jimmy Smith (Jennifer), Kim Goins (Brent), Billy Smith (Helen), and Ed Smith all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Brandon (Cass) Grubb, Joshua (Mary) Grubb, Katie Grubb, Erika (Shane) Dixon, David Smith (Ashliann), Taylor (Mikey) Ashurst, Helen Smith, Carol Smith, Billy Jo Smith (Adriana), and Eli Smith; several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Jessie was a member of the Patterson Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wilder and Rev. Steve Siler officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Smith Cemetery on 904.
