Ova Petrey, age 79 of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was born September 2, 1943 in Whitley County, Ky. to the late Dewey and Margaret White Petrey. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennine Roberson Petrey and a host of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by three children, Margerett Hall (David) of Keavy, Ky., Mark Burdette Petrey of McCreary County, Ky. and Joshua Petrey (Flecia) of Williamsburg, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Kaelin Hurst (Brandon), David Samuel Hall (Mercedes), Markus Petrey (Chelsey), Jarred Perry (Shelby), Johnathan Perry, Joshua Petrey, Abigayle Petrey, Michael Todd (Brianna) and Eli Smith; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, at Bee Creek House of God with Rev. Jeff Sturdivant and Rev. Ben Morris officiating.
Interment will be in the J&O Petrey Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, at Bee Creek House of God.
