Amanda Susanna (Sharp) Vanover, 86, of (Julip) East Hwy. 92, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her home.

She was born February 9, 1930 in Whitley County,  to the late Sheared Sharp and the late Martha Rains Sharp.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlus E. Vanover, Sr., brother, Edward Sharp, sister, Dora Jackson and husband General Jackson, daughter-in-law Juanita Vanover.

She is survived by her eight children, Cathy Bunch(Alfred), Barbara Grubb(Carlos), Eva Smith(Bill), Carlus Vanover, Jr. (Debbie), Maxine Fritts(Charles), Teresa Shelton(Floyd), Rickie Vanover, and Angela Baker(Daniel), sister Justeen Wilson(Bob), 26 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hodge and Rev. Arlie Petree officiating.

Following the service she was laid to rest in the Vanover Cemetery.
