Ancil Arthur Lambdin, 73, of Hattie Lambdin Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center.

He was born on February 12, 1944 in Williamsburg, to the late Charlie Lambdin and Hettie Jordan Lambdin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Lambdin and his granddaughter, Gwendela “Punky” Hurst.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Gwendela Sue Hurst of Williamsburg; stepdaughter, Shirley Hurst and husband Carl of Williamsburg; stepson, James Beams and his wife Linda of Corbin; grandson, James Hurst of Williamsburg; step-grandchildren, Jason Beams of Corbin and James Todd Beams of Williamsburg; two brothers, Joe Lambdin and his wife Betty and James Lambdin and his wife Jewel, all of Williamsburg;  many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, April 26, at Croley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter and Rev. Lester Cox officiating.

He will be laid to rest following a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
