Anita Yvonne Cox, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at her home in Rockholds, KY.
Born on April 19, 1954, in Jellico, Tennessee. Anita was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockholds and was a nurse with Professional Home Health for over 20 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bert Cox; her son, Christopher Cox (Jessica); step-children, Carolyn Cox and Colton Cox; grandchildren, Corey McDaniel, Tara Cox, Tristian Williams, Hannah Byers, Christian Williams, Shanon Cox, Jilliana Cox, Corlett Williams, and Christian Cox; great-grandchildren, Riley McDaniel, Aiden McDaniel, Paisey McDaniel, Hailey Byers, Elizabeth Byers, and Benton Byers; sisters, Susan Marsee (Leland) and Donna Hlava; and several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Anita’s life will take place on Tuesday, July 2, at 1:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Kentucky with Rev. Jeff Ellis officiating.
Prior to the service, a public viewing will be held at the funeral home starting at 11:00 am to allow friends and family to pay their respects.
Following the service, Anita will be laid to rest at Broyles Cemetery on Hwy 26 in Rockholds, Kentucky, at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2.
As we gather to say our final goodbyes and share memories of her life, Anita’s legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Anita was preceded in death by, Emerson McKeehan, Ruth McKeehan, Shawn Cox, Shannon Cox, Wesley McKeehan, and Linda White.
