Aug. 24 Hank Jr. concert almost sold out

Country music legend Hank Williams, Jr. will be playing to a full house of rowdy friends when he comes to The Arena in Corbin on Aug. 24.

Presale tickets went on sale last Thursday with regular sales beginning at 10 a.m. Friday morning.

Arena Director Kristi Balla said out of 6,000 available seats, there are about 100 tickets remaining.

“We sold 3,000 tickets just in presale,” Balla said noting sales may be ahead of Kane Brown in terms of pace.

Balla said additional seats may be made available later.

Balla said she has been working for more than two years to bring Hank Jr. to Corbin.

Williams, the son of country music legend Hank Williams and Audry, has been named country music entertainer of the year five times.

A take on his his hit “All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight” was an anthem for ABC’s Monday Night Football for 22 years.
