Ballou receives ‘Champion of Character’ award in Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Competition

Maggie Ballou, Cheerleader for the University of the Cumberlands was the recipient of the “Champion of Character” award in this year’s Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Competition held in Frankfort, KY.

Presented by Forcht Bank, the award commends the individual’s character on and off the court and in the classroom. Nominees from all Mid-South Conference schools were recommended by both coaches and teachers.

In addition, Miss Ballou was also named a member of the Mid-South Conference Academic Team. Maggie will graduate from the University of the Cumberlands in May 2017 with a graduate degree in Elementary Education.
