Baptist Health Corbin volunteers will honor lives through Memory Tree Leaf dedication

Date:

Baptist Health Corbin Volunteers will host a Leaf Dedication ceremony honoring volunteers and employees who are no longer with us on Friday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. in the Paul Parker Pavilion at the hospital.

Years ago, the Volunteers purchased a bronze Memory Tree to honor and celebrate the lives of those who have passed. Over time, many names have been added to the tree, each representing a cherished memory. This year, the Volunteers will expand that tradition by dedicating new leaves in honor of Baptist Health Corbin volunteers and employees who have passed away in the last year.

The newly added leaves will be marked with white ribbons to signify this special remembrance.

The Leaf Dedication is held annually as a lasting tribute to those who faithfully served Baptist Health Corbin and the community.

During the ceremony, there will be a dedication prayer and the reading of the names being honored, offering a moment of reflection and gratitude. This year, honorees include Chad Anderson, Mae Bales, Tiffany Brown, Jeff Chadwell, James Jackson, Wendall Jackson, Roberta Quicksall, Lisa Jones, Dr. Jean-Maurice Page’, Erika Ritchie, Beulah Smith, Otis Smith, Peggy Smith and Carolyn Warwick.
