Betty Witt, age 90, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 16, 1934 in Williamsburg, KY, to the late Foster and Margaret Younce Lane.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie R. Witt; and a son, Mike Harmon.
Betty worked at Williamsburg City School. She was a person of many hats. She taught the Kitchen Sunday School at Main Street Baptist Church for over 20 years.
She is survived by one son, Donnie Ray Witt (Ginny) of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Sandy Harmon of Corbin, KY; seven grandchildren, Emily Randolph (Andy) of Sharonville, OH, Charles Witt (Megan) of Knoxville, TN, Geoffery Witt (Misty) of Williamsburg, KY, Daniel Witt of Knoxville, TN, Kimberly Swanner of Williamsburg, KY, Bruce Swanner (Larianne) of Rocky Top, TN, and Brandon Swanner (Lindsay) of Carlisle, KY; 11 great-grandchildren, Everett Witt, Olivia Witt, Cohen Lane Witt, Gunnar Morgan, Brianna Morgan, Damien Swanner, John Swanner, Eli Swanner, Daisie Swanner, Hope Randolph, and Faith Randolph; sister, Dorothy Rogers of Williamsburg, KY; two nieces, Susan Jett (Steve), and Gail Drake; and several friends and family to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Thursday, September 19, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Dunston officiating.
Interment was Friday, September 20 in the Highland Cemetery.
