Billy Hurst, age 88, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on December 26, 2021.
He leaves behind his daughter, Angela Smith and her husband, Roger of Connersville, IN; his son, Darrell Hurst and his wife Grace of Williamsburg, KY; two siblings, Doug Hurst and wife Shirley of London, KY, Sue Ann Hurst Taylor of Mooresville, IN; sister-in-law, Gilberta Hurst of London, KY; five grandchildren, Darrell Hurst II and wife Brittany, Nathan Hurst and wife Rachel, Monica Hurst, Levi Hurst and Seth Hurst; three great-grandchildren, Colton Hurst, Bristol Hurst and Emma Hurst; plus, a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsie and Minnie Wilson Hurst; his beloved wife, Faye Powell Hurst; two brothers, Gene Hurst and Leon Hurst; his sister-in-law, Wanda Lee Whitaker Hurst; his nephew, Jerry Lee Hurst and niece, Shelia Kay Hurst.
Billy retired from Ford having worked there more than 50 years. He owned and operated his own exterminating business for more than 40 years. He was a member of Baptist Temple in Connersville, IN.
Funeral services for Billy Hurst will be held on Tuesday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Hurst officiating. Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 3:00 p.m. in Connersville, IN. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3, beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at New Zion Baptist Church.
