Billy J. Jones, 79, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Laurel County, he was the son of the late Perry Jones and Mattie Hill Jones.
Billy was a member of Greenland Baptist Church and had been an engineer for CSX Railroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister Iva Jewell Jones, brothers Lester Ray Jones and Kenneth Harold Jones, and son-in-law Kurt Hasten.
Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucille Jones; son Charlie Jones (Colleen); daughters Deborah “Hoss” Hasten, Amanda Jo Jones, and Amy Marie Jones; sisters Gladys Napier, Claire Anne Wagner, and Karen Monahan (Mike); brothers Raymond Jones and David Jones; special sisters-in-law Margie Sams (Hubert) and Junav Jones; and by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The funeral service was held Sunday, June 17, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial was held in the Corinth Cemetery.
