Billy Ray Lawson, 45, of the Jellico Creek Community, Williamsburg, passed away Monday February 11, 2019 in Williamsburg.
He was born July 19, 1973 in Corbin, to the late Ray Lawson and Nina Burton Lawson.
Along with his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Gaynes and Faye Burton, Bill and Opal Lawson.
Billy was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Jellico Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Heather Ruth Lawson of Williamsburg; two sons, Cody R. Lawson, Brandon L. Claxton (Maddison); daughter; Jordan Dowdy; grandson; Brylan L. Claxton; mother, Nina Meadors (James); four brothers, Kevin Lawson (Adrian), Josh Meadors (Tabitha), Seth Meadors and Daniel Meadors, sister and nrother-in-laws; Sherry Croley (Danny Parks), Jamie Croley (Dessie); niece, Cassie Croley; four nephews, River Lawson, Luke Woods, James Allen Croley and Dillan Croley and host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held February 15, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Prewitt officiating.
Interment was held in the Jellico Creek Cemetery following a graveside service Saturday, February 16.
