Bobby Don Tye

Bobby Don Tye, age 72, of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home.
He was born on December 4, 1949 in Whitley County to the late Floyd Tye and the late Delphia (Abbott) Tye.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Huddleston and Diane Bowling and two brothers, Ronnie Tye and Wayne Tye.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Charity Tye of Corbin, Kentucky; along with four children, David Floyd Tye of Corbin, Kentucky, Sandra Renee Tye of Lily, Kentucky, Timothy Tye of Corbin, Kentucky, and Cynthia Downing (Marc) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Jonah Nolan, Danielle Nolan, Riley Downing, Logan Downing, Vickie Tingle (Tim), Scott Floyd Tye, Destiny Rose Tye, and Emma Downing; three brothers, Terry Tye of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Tommy Tye of Tennessee, and Wendell Tye of Ohio.
He was a member of American Legion Post 88. He was a life member of DAV and served in the US Army Spec. 5 in the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating.
He will be laid to rest in Croley Addition at Highland Park Cemetery.
