Bobby Jean Mills, 85, of North 6th Street, Williamsburg, departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home.
He was born November 29, 1932 in Salt Gum, to the late Charlie Mills and Magdalene Mills.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Jeanette (Moore) Mills; sisters and brother-in-laws, Etiva and Stanley Teague and Helen and Wallace Taylor; sister, Pansy Hill; and brother Harold Mills.
Mr. Mills retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving over 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Larry Mills (wife Carol) of Reston, VA and Karen Ann Gantt of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Taylor Mills, Ryan Gantt, and Adam Gantt (wife Dani); four great grandchildren, Willow, Asher, Oliver, and Ruby; sister, Jewel Dean (husband Robert) of Williamsburg; brother-in-law, Clyde Hill of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 8, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Jones and Rev. Dave Jones officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park.
Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
