Bonnie Hicks, age 83, of Corbin passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Baptist Health-Corbin. Born at Heidrick in Knox County.
She was the daughter of the late James L. and Juanita Willis Hartford. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Hicks; and two sons, James “Jimbo” Hicks and Bobby Michael Hicks.
Bonnie was a woman of faith who devoutly prayed for her family and friends and had attended Eastside Tabernacle Church of God.
She was Kentucky basketball’s number one fan and loved decorating her front porch with UK items for everyone to enjoy. Also she collected anything related to Coca Cola. Bonnie had worked for Cumberland Valley National Bank as a teller for about 25 years.
Survivors include two sons, Charles D. Hicks and Roger D. Hicks; ten grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Samantha Combs; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim Hartford (Pat) and Michael Hartford (Debra).
A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, May 28, at Rest Haven Cemetery with Rev. Jack Willis officiating.
