Carol Dean Hubbs Hodges, 62, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Vero Beach, FL.

Born in Corbin, Carol was the daughter of the late Steely “Rib” Hubbs and Iva Hubbs who survives.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Eugene Hodges on Jan. 7, 2016; brothers Don Hubbs and Steely Ray Hubbs; sister Jeanette Hubbs Manus; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Gene and Hazel Hodges.

Carol is survived by her mother, Iva Hubbs of the Whetstone Community and formerly of Vero Beach; sister, Juanita Bargo (John) of Whetstone Community; special cousins, Trish and Ronnie Strunk of Rocky Top, TN; uncle Raymond Hubbs; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, November 2, at the Whetstone Christian Church, 147 Whetstone Church Rd., Williamsburg.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 3, at Whetstone Christian Church with Bro. David Chandler officiating.

Burial will follow in the Whetstone Church Cemetery.
