Carolyn Sue Mays, 75, of Cliff End Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born on August 28, 1941 in Whitley County, to the late Cilis Russell Frazier and Verna Louise (Bray) Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Mays; her sons, Jessie Michael Mays and David Keith Mays; daughter, Patricia Sue Mays; sisters, Patricia Sue Alsip and Eva Nell Wilson; and brothers, Doug Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Jim Frazier and Russell Frazier.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorrie Jackson Rice (Bill) of Corbin, Jessica Galbreath (Tim) of Sevierville, TN and Anne Brooks (Eddie) of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Ray of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Bill Frazier of Knoxville, TN; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will after 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Ellis officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
