Carrie Alice Rains Strunk, age 87 of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at her home. She was born May 6, 1938 in Whitley County, KY, to the late George and Dessie Barton Rains. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Strunk; a brother, Sonny Rains; and two sisters, Ruth Rains, and Martha Burke.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Lambdin (Jimmy) of Williamsburg, KY; two grandchildren, Natasha Hurst (Brian), Nicholas Lambdin (Sarah); six great-grandchildren, Donte Hurst, Izelynn Hurst, Nicholas Tate Lambdin, Ellis Andrew Lambdin, Ezra Jean Lambdin, Camden Reece Holt; sister-in-law, Linnea Rains of Emlyn, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Long and Rev. Jerry Sester officiating.
Interment will be in the New Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM until the funeral hour Tuesday, December 16, at the funeral home.
