Pearl Day, 84, of Keavy, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lewis Day. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 28,  in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Day, Jim Day, and Bill Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Amanda Ellen Brison, age 90, the wife of the late John William Brison, Corbin, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin. Donald Alvin Cornett, 82, of Corbin, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Continue Care Hospital. His wife, Dossie Lee Jackson Cornett, survives. Visitation will be Monday, January 27, from 12-3pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be Tuesday, January 28 at noon at the Cornett Family Cemetery in Letcher County, Kentucky. Frances Ann (Gieszl) Bobbitt died on January 7, 2020 in Lexington, Kentucky. Her parents were Frank and Frances Gieszl. Frances Ann was born in Corbin, Kentucky, where she grew up. She was a Catholic by faith. Francie graduated from Saint Camillus Academy, Corbin.  She attended Ursuline College, Louisville. She worked a medical technician. After her marriage to Robert Bobbitt in 1973, the couple moved to Lexington, Kentucky. There she worked at the VA and, later, at UK. Francie served in the United States Naval Reserves as a medical technician for four years. She enjoyed UK sports. She gifted her siblings with her ceramic pieces. Floyd W. Moses, age 75, of West Highway 204, Williamsburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center. He was born on November 7, 1944 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Una (Davis) Moses. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer and Erman Moses and a sister, Pauline McMinn.  Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army. Ruth Turner, 87, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Turner. A graveside service will be held at 12 P.M. James E. Prewitt, 60, departed this life on January 21, 2020 in his home. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Prewitt of Corbin. SSgt. Kenneth Eugene Rose (Ret. U.S. Army Reserves), age 58, departed this life on Sunday, January 12, 2020. He was born on June 23, 1961 in Corbin, Kentucky. He was a long time resident of Crossville, Tennessee but recently returned to Corbin prior to his passing. Joan Roselyn Ingle, of Corbin, Kentucky, departed this life on January 20, 2020 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Ingle and a son, Eric Michael Ingle. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Walter C. Croley, age 88, of Highway 92 East, Siler, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Baptist Health in Corbin. He was born on January 30, 1931 in Gatliff, Kentucky to the late Samuel Drapier Croley and Bessie Mae (Bray) Croley.
