Kathleen Inez Lawson Eaton

Kathleen Inez Lawson Eaton was born June 5, 1922 in Woodbine, to Lily Mae Messer Lawson and Benjamin Hardin Lawson and passed away on October 17, 2015. She was the youngest of four girls: Margaret, Maxine, Maureen and big sister to brother Robert (all of whom preceded her in death). Kathleen married Sam Eaton Jr. during WWII and after the war moved to Cincinnati, OH where she began nursing school. She nearly completed training when Sam was called up from the Navy Reserves to the Korean Conflict. Joe Stanley Logan, 93, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Born August 23, 1924, in Woodbine, he was the son of the late John T. and Emma C. Logan. He was retired from the U.S. military, having served in the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded by his wife, Virginia Jones Logan and brother, Dallas Logan. Emma Faith Smith and Grace Hope Smith

Twin sisters, Emma Faith Smith and Grace Hope Smith passed away Monday afternoon immediately after birth at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. They were the daughters of Steve and Aleshia Smith of Corbin. Graveside services and burial for Emma Faith Smith and Grace Hope Smith will be held privately by the family’s request with Rev. Willard R. Monhollen, 79, of Toledo, passed away Monday morning, July 30, 2018. He was born January 16, 1939 to Luster and Laurie (Lee) Monhollen. Willard was a glass cutter, having worked for 29 years for Toledo Plate and Window Glass, 15 years for Thermodyne, in maintenance, and 20 years as a roofer in various locations around the city.
