Miriam Roberts Lay, 65 of Pioneer (Scott County), TN passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17,  at the Elk Fork Baptist Church in Elk Valley, TN. with Rev. Dodley Harness and Carlie Duncan officiating. Binnie Jewell Milton,  91, of Shawnee Drive, Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin, KY. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Croley Funeral Home. She will lie-in-state at Main Street Baptist Church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, May 13. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 13,  at the Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Walker, Rev. Bill Wright and Dr. Jerry Lowrie officiating. James Ward, Jr., 88, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Christian Health Center of Corbin. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Dr. Terrell Bradley officiating. Burial will be in the Sutton-Pemberton Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Tony Lawson, 50, the husband of Donna Lawson of Curry Road, London, passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence. Funeral services for will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday in Laurel Funeral Home Chapel (formerly Corbin Funeral Home) with Bro. Scotty Jewell and Bro. Kevin Scalf officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in Manchester, KY.
