David Christopher Boian, 47, of Corbin, passed away on July 12, 2017 at his home following a long illness. He was born on May 6, 1970 in Lexington, KY, and  graduated from Corbin High School in 1988 and EKU in 1993, and went on to work in dentistry for 22 years. An outdoorsman, Chris loved to hunt, fish, hike and explore nature.  He said that he always felt closest to God when he was in the woods. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was very artistic, and loved history and anything military-related. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Jerry Lee Bird, 83, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Corbin Baptist Health in Corbin. He was the son of the late Rubin and Bonnie (Jervis) Bird. Born to them on February 3, 1934 in Corbin. Mr. Bird was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Katherine Bird, his parents, one sister: Shirley Jenkins Hall, and two brothers: Calvin Bird and Billy Bird. Darlene Osborne, 71, of Corbin, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. Born January 12, 1946, in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Esty Tompkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gillie and Pearlie Osborne. A retired teacher, she spent 27 years in the classroom.  Also, she was a member of the Eastern Star.
