Carol Joyce Pace, 81, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin. Funeral service for Carol Pace will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Austin Carty officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Charity Rachelle Moses celebrated her earthly birthday in Indianapolis, IN on February 2, 2016. Faced with Trisomy 18 (aka Edward’s Syndrome) and a large VSD in her heart, medical professionals sent her home to die but her family decided they would instead take her home to live. Each of her 99 days was a true miracle and Charity was a champion and a fighter. Her heavenly birthday was on May 11, 2016 when she peacefully went from her mother’s arms into the arms of Jesus, in the comforts of their home. Trisomy 18 is very fatal in children. Only 25% of children born with Trisomy 18 live past a couple of weeks....

Phillip W. Norvell, 80, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Baptist Health - Corbin. Graveside services were held on Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at the Lynn Camp Cemetery, with Rev. Christine Broughton, 77, of Corbin, passed away on Friday May 20, 2016 at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation in Corbin. Daniel Wilson, 26, of South Log Cabin Road, Corbin, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at UKMC Chandler Hospital in Lexington. Brenda Kay Morgan,  50 of McKeehan Crossing, Corbin,  passed away on Sunday evening at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
