In the past I've taken some ribbing about my appeal in this column to resurface the Gordon Hill area in Corbin. The last time I wrote about the awful condition of the road the state painted fresh yellow lines on it.
As I was sitting inside The Arena Friday night watching TNA Championship Wrestling, I couldn't escape this feeling of déjà vu and this sense that the more things change, the more they sometimes stay the same.

Punishment for child abusers, whether it is physical or mental abuse, should be increased. I believe child abusers are getting off too easy. Although most child abusers usually only get either therapy or probation, that doesn't mean their going to stop. Sometimes it means that they get smarter, less challenged, and even change their pattern. Though, sometimes they get better, not as violent or aggressive.

The result of a decision between my wife and I to “do something cool” last year resulted in a season membership to the Actors Guild of Lexington. We’ve enjoyed each of the productions by AGL immensely, even though neither of us could really be considered theater connissuers by any stretch. Every show is top quality.
