Hensley - Bird united in marriage Wayne and Marcia Bird, as well as Wayne and Lee Hensley would like to announce the wedding of their children Michael David Bird and Ashley Erin Hensley. The bride and groom united in marriage during a destination wedding and honeymoon in New York City June 29, 2016. Upon their return, a wedding reception was held at the Merry Jeffries Center in Williamsburg, Kentucky on Sunday July 10, 2016 to celebrate their marriage. The bride is a teacher at Whitley County High School and the groom is a Warehouse Manager for Brock McVey in Lexington, Kentucky.

Tharpe - Thrift announce upcoming marriage The parents of Shonda Tharpe and Daniel Thrift would like to announce the upcoming marriage of their children. Shonda is the daughter of Ronnie and Debbie Tharpe and granddaughter of Russell and Betty Lawson, all of Williamsburg. Daniel is the son of LeRoy and Sheri Thrift of Greenville, SC. The wedding will take place on July 30, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Mountain Ash Baptist Church in Williamsburg. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. A reception will follow at the church.

Hensley - Mason to wed Shayla Hensley and Bradley Mason wish to announce their upcoming wedding. Bradley is the son of Scott Mason and Becky Hudson. Shayla is the daughter of Harold and Tammy Hensley. Hicks - Combs wed Samantha Hicks and Kyle Combs were married on May 21, 2016 at the Big Hill Christian Church in Richmond, KY, with Jack Willis officiating. The bride is the daughter of Roger Hicks of Corbin and Evelina Hicks of Tazewell, TN. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Bonnie Hicks of Corbin. The groom is the son of Kelly and Jody Combs of Jamestown, OH. He is the grandson of Charles and Jackie Combs and Jim and Judy Ward all of Richmond, KY. Wests celebrate 60 years of marriage Bonnie Meadors and Clinton West were married on June 9, 1956 at the Whitley County Courthouse by Reverend U.V. Harp. The Wests will celebrate 60 years of wedded bliss on June 11, 2016 at the Williamsburg Convention Center in Williamsburg. Bonnie and Clinton were blessed with four children; Connie Pitcher, Richard West, Patrick C. West, all of Hamilton, OH and Larry Wayne West (deceased); ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Clinton retired from General Electric in Evandale, OH in 1994, at which time they moved back to Williamsburg.
