Cecil Janet Ramsey, 85, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born in Corbin and was a 1948 graduate of Corbin High School. After high school she worked for Bell Telephone Co. in Corbin and for many years worked as a receptionist at Cumberland Comprehensive Care in Corbin.
Janette is survived by her children; Allen Ramsey of Corbin, and Mary Jane Ramsey of Spring Hill, TN; and by a brother, Lonnie Rudy Carroll of Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Ramsey; father, Sam Cecil Carroll; Mother, Daymie Poyntor Carroll Sawyers, and by her stepfather, Henry Sawyers.
Funeral services were held Friday December 30, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery.
