Cecil Roberts, born on the 14th of October, 1950 in Monticello, KY, went to his heavenly home on the 6th of March, 2025.
He leaves behind a life rich in love, faith, and service. A devout member of the Church of God, Cecil demonstrated his faith in every aspect of his life. He was a proud member of the Briar Creek Church of God for many years, serving as a trustee and offering his guidance and wisdom to the church community. His faith was not just confined to the church; he made it a daily practice to read the Bible with his beloved wife, Wanda Roberts.
Cecil spent his life in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he was not only known for his religious involvement, but also for his love of outdoor activities. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found peace and tranquility in the heart of nature. Cecil was also passionate about his farm, where he spent countless hours nurturing the land. His work ethic and love for the outdoors are part of the legacy he leaves behind.
He was a man of great integrity, admired by his family, friends, and the members of his church community. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend that loved his family.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Wanda Roberts; his children, Mike (Amy) Roberts and Pam (Vince) Sulfridge; his grandchildren, Travis (Ashley) Sulfridge, Dustin (Hanna) Sulfridge, Chandler (Amber) Roberts, Lathen (Jacey) Roberts, and Kaleigh Roberts (Tucker Ford); and his great-grandchildren, Lakin, McKinley, Chase, Kambree, Hudson, Ruthie Ann, Oakley, Everlee, and Braxton. He also leaves behind his special nephew, Eric Willis, as well as several other nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey and Nannie Roberts; and his siblings, Russell Roberts, Denny Roberts, and Virginia Sue Roberts; also his special friends, Bro. Elmer Parks and Sister Laura Parks.
The funeral service will be on Monday, March 10 at 3:00 pm, at the Croley Funeral Home.
Cecil’s life will be celebrated and remembered in a service reflecting his deep faith and love for his family.
