Charles Kevin Shell, 47, of Gray, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late Lonnie Charles Shell and Diana Jo Campbell Shell. He was a member of Little Indian Creek Baptist Church, and loved fishing, hunting and playing cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers Geoffrey Shell and Bennie Campbell.

He is survived by his grandmothers, Ophie Howard Shell and Phyllis Campbell; sister Angela Minor (George); two aunts Carolyn Roark and family, and Sharon Root and family; two uncles Leslie Shell and family, and Benny Campbell and family; two nieces Chelsey Walters-Minor and Kaylee Walters-Minor; and by numerous family and friends, including James Hart.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Howard Cemetery in Keavy.
