It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Lee, JR, who peacefully left this world on August 13, 2024. Born on November 16, 1949, in Williamsburg, KY, Charles was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
Charles was a dedicated business operator who took pride in being self-employed. His hard work and dedication set an example for those around him. He leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Brenda Lee; mother, Roxie Lee; daughters, Stacey Abbott, Carey (Dan) Sanchez-Kahn and Jennifer Lee; grandchildren, Hayley Abbott, Houston Abbott, Cade Hendrickson, Nichols Hassler, Khloe Weldon, Elicia Monreal-Sanchez, Cheyenne Carnes, Daelyn Sanchez-Kahn, Eliza Sanchez-Kahn, Kavanaugh Sanchez-Kahn, Hadlee Sanchez-Kahn, Brinkley Sanchez-Kahn, JaxSaban Sanchez-Kahn, Isabella Sanchez-Kahn, Gabriel Sanchez-Kahn, Catarina Sanchez-Kahn, and Santana Sanchez-Kahn; sister, Teresa (Bill) Powers; brother, David Lee; brother-in-law, Herschel Roberts; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Charles’s life was held at Croley Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18, with the Rev. Corey Cobb and the Rev. James Hodge officiating.
Charles Lee, JR, a proud veteran of the Air Force, was laid to rest following the funeral service.
His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us. May he rest in peace.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee; sister, Cathy Roberts; and step-daughter, Jennifer Foley Carnes.
