Charlie Prewitt, 84, of the Lot-Mud Creek Community of Whitley County, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 1, 1934 to the late Jerry Dewie Prewitt and Nannie (Butler) Prewitt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Barrett) Prewitt and son, Charles Prewitt, Jr.
He is survived by daughter, Kathy (Prewitt) Surash, of Fort Collins, Colorado; sons, Johnny Prewitt, Vernon Prewitt, Daniel Prewitt, James Prewitt, all of the Lot-Mud Creek community of Whitley County.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard, Arlie Long Post # 154.
Burial will be in the Prewitt Family Cemetery on Lot-Mud Creek Road in Whitley County.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico, TN.
Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
