Charlotte Akins

Charlotte Akins, age 71, of Barbourville, KY, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 17, 1953 in Toledo, OH, to the late Acie and Flara Peace Reynolds.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dana Akins; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Akins, Wayne Akins; and father and mother-in-law, Edward and Joie Akins. Charlotte worked many years in the banking industry.
She is survived by her son, Evan Akins of Barbourville, KY; three grandchildren, Natalie Akins, Jaxon Akins, Kimbree Akins; two sisters, Shirley Engle (Bob) of London, KY, Sharon Helton (Greg) of Rockholds, KY; two brothers, Larry Reynolds (Missy) of Williamsburg, KY, Gary Reynolds (Darlene) of Siler, KY; brothers-in-law, Gary Akins (Janie) of Corbin, KY, Kerry Akins (Tammy) of Somerset, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating.
Interment will be in the Peace Cemetery Reynolds Addition.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the funeral hour Wednesday, August 27, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
