Christene Sharp, age 93, of Williamsburg, KY passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was born May 6, 1928 in Whitley County, KY to the late Frank and Mae Sammons Wells. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; John Sharp, a son; Damon Sharp, son-in-law; Earl Cummins, two brothers, and two sisters. She was a member of 19th Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by four children, Ralph E. Sharp (Sandra) of Howell, MI, Troy D. Sharp (Marlene) of Williamsburg, KY, Norma Cummins of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Blanche Watson (Donnie) of Williamsburg, KY; nine grandchildren; Jon Sharp (Jessica), Heather Scott (Nathan), Amanda Cummins, Genna Cummins, Rebecca Lovell (Michael), Sarah Lawson (Tony), Brent Farmer (Janoma), Melissa Caddy (Jeff), and Dawn Guzik (Greg); 13 great-grandchildren, nine great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters; and two sisters Dora Todd of IL, and Valerie Hamilton of OH; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 15, at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. David Scott officiating. Interment will be in McFarland Cemetery at Woodbine, KY.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the funeral hour Thursday, July 15, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel.
