CHS names two new assistant principals

Date:

Corbin High School has announced the selection of its two new assistant principals.

Josh Watkins and Shannon Dixon have been named new assistant principals at Corbin High School.

Josh Watkins and Shannon Dixon will be filling the two vacancies.

One vacancy was created by the pending retirement of assistant Nicole Brock.

The other vacancy was created when assistant principal Steve Jewell was named as the new principal in June to replace John Crawford, who is also retiring.

Watkins has served as a history teacher at Corbin High School since 2013. Prior to joining the Corbin Independent School District, Watkins taught 3 years at Knox Central High School.

Dixon currently serves as an assistant principal at Lynn Camp Schools. Prior to serving as an assistant principal, she taught high school English in the Laurel County School District for 10 years.

Both Brock and Crawford’s retirements are effective Aug. 1.
