Clarence Elmer Lawson, age 75, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on December 10, 2025.
Clarence, born on June 15, 1950, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He dedicated the majority of his life to hard work as a coal miner and mechanic, before enjoying a well-earned retirement. In his spare time, he was a devoted member of the Clearfork Baptist Church.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Sue Lawson. He was the proud father to Joey Lawson (Jen), June Cannon, Tina Prewitt (Calvin), Pride Lawson (Becky), Clarence Lawson Jr., Kimberly Huskey (Paul), Antonio Lawson and Steve Lawson (Laura). His legacy also lives on in his many siblings, including Edna Delph, Ruby Powers, Betty Begley, Bobby Rose, Isham Lawson, Doc Lawson, and Alan Lawson.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dave and Anna Lee Lawson; his daughter, Christy Cima; his son-in-law, Chuck Cannon; and his siblings, Laura Partin, Finley Lawson, Joe Lawson, and John Lawson; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Sunday, December 14, starting at 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 pm with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowman Cemetery.
