Cledith Ray Lay, Sr., 69, of Newcomb, TN passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1949 in Newcomb, TN.
Cledith is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lay; father, Mitt J. Lay; mother, Wretha Lamb Lay; brother, DeArmon Lay.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Kiss Lay; sons, Cledith Ray Lay, Jr. & Becky, Derrick James Lay, Rodney Morin, Keith Schulien; daughters, Rebecca Barton, Tina Martin, Holly Lay; grandchildren: David Chadwell, Jr., Hunter Chadwell, Heather Chadwell, Matthew Chadwell, Lilliaunna Lay, Joshua Lay, Cledith Ray Lay III, Gage Heatherly, Elijah Lay, Brentlee Lay; great grandchildren: Gabriella Baird, Carter Chadwell; brothers: Drexel Lay, Stanley Lay, Randy Lay; sisters: Phyllis Gross, Velma Emmitt, Jackie New, Patricia Hargrave; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 26, at the Newcomb Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Kennedy officiating.
Burial followed in the Doulas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community)
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
