Next week, the Corbin Redhounds will host the Whitley County Colonels and four other teams in the 2022 Cumberland Falls Invitational Tournament.
The tournament will kick off Tuesday, Dec. 27, with the Colonels facing Knoxville Catholic (Tenn.) at 6:30 p.m. The host Redhounds will play Bell County at approximately 8:15 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 28, Bell County will face Newport at 6:30, while Louisville Doss will take on Whitley County at 8:15.
Thursday, Dec. 29, will feature two more games, as well as the three-point and dunk contests. Newport and Corbin will take the floor at 6 p.m., with the contests taking place after the conclusion of their game. Knoxville Catholic and Louisville Doss will square off that night, with start time scheduled for 8:30.
The CFIT finale will take place on Friday, Dec. 30, as the third place, second place and championship games will be contested at 5, 6:45 and 8:30 p.m.
Both Corbin and Whitley have looked good leading up to the tourney, with the Redhounds starting out 3-0 before a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn. this week to compete in the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic, and the Colonels winning their last five games before travelling to Daytona Beach, Fla. this week for an appearance in the Lopez Holiday Classic.
