Corbin man arrested for parole violation, five counts of failing to appear in court

A Corbin man wanted for parole violation and multiple warrants for violating parole and failing to appear in court was arrested Monday night.

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tommy Francis, 32 on Robert E. Cox Road, off of American Greeting Card Road, at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, said Francis was wanted by the Kentucky Parole Board for absconding parole supervision and failure to complete treatment for substance abuse following a conviction in Laurel Circuit Court on a charge of first-degree possession of controlled substance.

In addition, Francis was served with five outstanding warrants for failure to appear Laurel District Court on separate charges of third-degree criminal trespassing, leaving the scene of accident, theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and child support.

Francis was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
