Corbin man indicted for fleeing police

A Corbin man, who allegedly tried to run over a Corbin police officer during a December pursuit, has been indicted by a Whitley County Grand Jury.

The Whitley County Grand Jury issued its monthly report Monday, and indicted Curtis Lewis, 34, on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $10,000 and for being a first-degree persistent felony offender.

Lewis has prior felony convictions for receiving stolen property under $10,000, theft by unlawful taking and first-degree fleeing or evading police, according to his indictment.
