Corbin man pleads guilty to federal bank robbery charge

A Corbin man, who robbed a Laurel County bank in September 2022, has entered a guilty plea in his case as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

Shawn Fox, 35, appeared in U.S. District Court for a plea hearing Tuesday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Hanly A. Ingram. As part of the hearing, Fox was asked to detail the facts of the case in his own words, including the events that took place on Sept. 27, 2022, when he entered the Community Trust Bank on US25 in southern Laurel County with an intent to steal money from the bank.
