Corbin Mayor signs proclamation for Garden Club marking June 4 through 10 National Garden Week

Date:

Mayor Willard McBurney, Cinda Proffitt (President Corbin Garden Club), Brenda Hamblin (Mt. Laurel District Director), and Carcille Burchette.

Three Corbin Garden Club members joined Mayor Willard McBurney as he recently signed a proclamation marking National Garden Week, June 4 thru June 10, 2017.

This proclamation signing was followed by the presentation of the book The Saved Seed to the Corbin Library.

The Saved Seed was written by Author Brenda Moore to engage young children in the life cycle of a pumpkin seed. The book will provide a tool to introduce the joys of gardening to youth.

Corbin Garden Club invites you to join their club. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
